Register sessions & cash drawer
A register session is the bookkeeping envelope around a day (or a shift) of sales. You open it with a starting cash float, sales and refunds adjust the drawer through the day, and at close you count the cash so Salonify can flag any difference. This is what makes your cash accountable and your daily report trustworthy.
How to set it up

Open a session each morning
In the POS, tap Open session and enter the starting cash float in the drawer.

Sell through the day
Cash sales add to the expected drawer total; cash refunds subtract. Card sales are tracked separately.

Count the drawer at close
Tap Close session and enter the counted cash. Salonify compares it to the expected total.

Review the difference
Any over/short amount is logged with the session for your records and appears on the daily report.
Good to know
- Closing a session can require an owner PIN for control.
- A consistent opening float makes counting faster and differences obvious.
- Each session feeds straight into the daily report.
